Key Responsibilities:
- Proficiency in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service, creating Power BI Mobile Reports
- Strong understanding of DAX (Data Analysis Expressions), Measures, Calculated Columns, Conditional Columns, etc
- Experience with Power Query for data transformation & schema modelling
- Knowledge of SQL and relational databases, performing various sorts of Joins & creating relationships in Power BI
- Familiarity with data modeling and data warehousing concepts
- Ability to create complex reports and dashboards from varying data sources
- Experience with Power BI administrative services – Embed Reports, Workspace Priviliges, etc.
- Advanced DAX functions and optimization techniques
- Strong understanding of various storage methods – Import mode, Direct query, etc.
- Custom visuals and themes creation – custom Python visuals, D3.js visuals etc.
- Integration with services (e.g., Azure, Excel, SharePoint, Salesforce, APIs etc)
- API integration, perform GET/POST calls in Power BI to dynamically fetch data
- Row-level security (RLS) and object-level security (OLS)
- Performance tuning and optimization of Power BI reports
- Create Power BI Apps
- Perform Incremental Load, Real time dashboarding
- Advanced data modeling techniques (e.g., star schema, snowflake schema)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Scalability first approach in every step
- Ability to interpret and visualize data effectively
- Experience in creating KPIs and performance metrics
- Understanding of statistical analysis and data mining techniques
- Build ETL Pipelines & Consume in Power BI
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Strong project management skills
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Core web concepts : API Testing thorugh Postman, writing HTTP requests : GET/POST/PUSH, etc.
- Core Cloud Concepts : Understanding of Azure envirionment
- Microsoft Fabric : Familiarity with Fabric offerings – Synapse Data engineering, Data warehouse.
