The Power BI Hackathon “Tell Your Story” organized by Advaiya concluded on Thursday, October 5, at its Udaipur Campus. The hackathon produced some very interesting stories backed by powerful data.
Ten teams having total number of 34 members from different departments participated with full vigor and enthusiasm. Guided by domain experts Vikram Jain, Director of Professional Services and Swati Shrimali, Solutions Architect and CoE Lead at Advaiya, the teams progressed through 8 stages beginning from story synopsis to publishing the dashboards, using freely available public datasets and different set of technologies including PowerBI and SQLServer.
Seven teams made it to the finals, where they presented their data stories and were evaluated by the jury on the parameters of topic selected, reliable data source used, right representation of data through right visuals. Teams “UnCommon Sense” were declared winners, and Team “Data Brothers” were awarded first runner-up.
While the winners were awarded the prizes, participation certificates were presented to all the participants.
We are looking to have more such events these in the future.
